I used my sister's tablet to look at the recipe while I was baking. It's very convenient! This is perfect for fall, although I wanted to go ahead & share it!
Chai Bar ingredients:
1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup instant chai latte powder
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Frosting Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cardamon
milk for desired thickness
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Grease 10x15 in pan.
1. Cream butter, sugar, and chai powder; add vanilla & egg. Mix.
2. In a separate bowl, combine baking powder, flour, and salt.
3. Slowly mix into the wet mix.
4. Spread into pan.
5. Bake about 18-22 min
Let cool while making the frosting
Frosting:
Cream butter, then add remaining ingredients Add milk to you get desired thickness.
When the bars are cool, top with frosting & sprinkle cinnamon on top for a good-looking chai bar.
Enjoy!
Let me know if you make this!
I have never been a fan of Chai and I don't think I'll ever be a fan.
ReplyDeleteHowever because of your pictures I think I'll give Chai a try.
I'll start with the tea first!
