So my birthday was on September 22nd. I like doing special, more personal things to celebrate my birthday, rather than having alot of people involved. Along with my passion for fashion, photography, and modeling interest, my mom, sister, and I went to the kickoff of DC Fashion Week at H Street Festival.
H street was completely shut down for the festival and was packed with people. For the 1 couple days of fall, it felt like the middle of the summer. We walked up and down H street taking in the aromas of BBQ, and several other food vendors. There was even a raw bar where the trendy girls got fresh pineapples & coconuts- just add a straw and you have a cute little juice.
For lunch I got a chicken curry crepe from Crepe Love Truck. They served all types of fresh, organic, and healthy crepe combinations..

I couldn't pass up these guys, they were too cute!
The fashion show ended up being just a small portion of the festival. By that time the heat was unbearable, so we headed back to our hotel.
Of course I had to stay at a very stylish & fashionable hotel. It was decorated with mirrors, statues, and classy accents. The room was amazing! I love the simplicity of an all-white bed! Our room was very spacious. The closet even had a complementary yoga mat & 2 robes- a leopard one, and a zebra one. :)
I definitely got some inspiration for my own room!

That day was my first time riding in a taxi, we took about 10 rides.. haha.. surprisingly, taxis drivers are quite nice..
After walking in search of a nearby restaurant I had picked out- we went in the wrong direction.. a 5 minute walk turned into 45 minutes... so we hopped in a taxi.
We ate at Zorba's Cafe, a Greek & Mediterranean restaurant. It was very cozy. The tables were set with a white & blue tablecloth and small candles that made it very intimate. I finally tried tzatziki, My mom & I are obsessed. I had the best chicken soulvlaki.

When we were done eating, (around 10pm) we took another taxi to Whole Foods. This cab driver in particular was very friendly and full of humor. We got some tzatziki to cease our cravings. Whole Foods has really good dessert, so inevitably, I had to get a fudge-filled chocolate chip cookie sandwich & a caramel wafer.
Coincidentally, the same taxi driver that brought us to whole foods was there again when we came out. Apparently, he had already dropped off someone else.
By the end of the night I had finished 2 bubble teas- taro & mango. I was hyped. I'm usually not the type of person to get hyper after having sugar.. maybe it was the naturals sugars.. LOL.
Let me just tell you, I rested well in that bed.

The next morning we woke up early to get some cupcakes & shop! I ordered room service & devoured some eggs florentine.. (I also now love hollandaise!)
Urbana
I had to get cupcakes! Afterall, it was my birthday weekend! We went to Baked & Wired in
Georgetown & got some delicious cupcakes.

Stores weren't open yet so we went down to the harbor to sit & enjoy the morning. I ended up people-(and dog!) watching most of the time. Everyone was out jogging with their animals.
The first store on my agenda was Urban Outfitters. I got 2 gorgeous tops there!
Zara was a must! I LOVE ZARA! I racked up a ton of clothes.. no shame.
For lunch I had one of the most tender steaks I've ever eaten. If you're ever in Georgetown, I recommend eating at Martin's Tavern. I was actually very surprised how good it was. My mom got the Philly steak & cheese sub.. it's better than the actual Pat's in Philly.. now that's good!
Martin's Tavern
I discovered that Baked & Wired had ice cream sandwiches, so I had to get one!
